Our mission at Morgan Garden Adult Care Home is to cultivate the qualities that help to maintain a meaningful and worthwhile life for our residents. We share love and laughter, music, memories and good food. We offer companionship and form friendships. We act with kindness, respect, and trust in our daily interactions and strive to create an atmosphere of love and joy.
Following a person-centered care model helps to insure that the whole person is being taken care of with a focus on the resident and his or her capabilities. This model of care helps people maintain their individuality which adds value to one's life.
We engage in interesting and stimulating activities to keep our brains firing and our bodies moving, and we value each person by creating an individual approach to activities based on interests and capabilities.
We find that when people take part in planning the menu it reminds them of preparing meals for their own families, and creates a connection which allow them to access and share their memories. Encouraging participation in meal planning also ensures the resident's favorite foods appear on the weekly menu!
It's no secret that physical activity improves feelings of well-being and overall health. We encourage appropriate exercise to keep the residents as active as they want and are able to be.
Studies have proven that art and music enhance cognitive function. We have seen residents transported to another day and time, and it sometimes enables them to express themselves and communicate in different ways.
Our home is where residents can spend the remainder of their lives receiving care from caregivers who value each person's uniqueness, their life story and what they have to offer the world.

Licensed Provider Janice Morgan is a patient, compassionate, and proficient care provider with over 19 years of experience in the field of caring for elders. When she first became a caregiver she realized that helping others created more joy in her life, and believed that she had uncovered the secret to happiness. Today she still believes that the secret to happiness lies in helping others. She is passionate about elders and feels it's an honor to be able to help the people she cares for during their final years of life.
In her spare time you will find Janice enjoying the splendor of nature with her family and friends or simply out in her garden.
